Lauder Court

Staneacre Park, Hamilton, Lanarkshire
Lauder Court consists of 64 one and two-bedroom retirement apartments with comprehensive facilities arranged over six floors.

Hamilton is the historical county town of Lanarkshire and was a Clyde Valley industrial town in the 19th century but has since undergone a transformation with many new service industries and a highly regarded circular Town Square. The beautiful countryside to the south remains. The extravagant 19th century Mausoleum still stands near the racecourse but the palace of the Dukes of Hamilton no longer exists.

Glasgow is to the northwest and the University was founded in the later middle ages. When Daniel Defoe visited the city in the 18th century it was considered to be one of the fairest in the country. The industrial revolution brought massive change and the city became an important trading port with the Americas responsible for half of all the British tobacco trade. It later became one of the worlds largest shipbuilding centres and today has the largest economy in Scotland.

Facilities include a house manager and 24 hour emergency alarm service, car parking, fire detection equipment, mobility scooter charging and store, balconies to some apartments, cycle store, guest suite, intruder alarm, lift to every floor, homeowners' lounge and landscaped gardens.

Access: Hamilton is about ten miles southeast of Glasgow and about seven miles from Strathaven. Lanark is about 14 miles and Motherwell two miles. The M74 Junction 6 is about a mile and fast trains to Glasgow take about 25 minutes.
