Tetley Court, Hollins Hall
Tetley Court at Hollins Hall is about two miles west of Harrogate just off the B6161 Ripley Road. The Hall itself, a substantial building formerly belonging to the Tetley family, stands at the centre of the development in splendid grounds and there are magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. There are a number of different styles of properties surrounding the Hall from cottages and apartments to bungalows and detached houses arranged in four individual courts. Harrogate is famous for its crocuses which in the Spring can be seen on the Stray - a 200 acre common from which a path links the Valley Gardens with Harlow Carr Gardens; now part of the Royal Horticultural Society following the merger with the Northern Horticultural Society in 2001. The gardens stand on what was once the part of the Forest of Knaresborough, an ancient royal hunting ground and springs of sulphur were discovered here in 1743.
Hollins Hall is about two miles west of Harrogate just off the B6161 Ripley Road. Harrogate itself is about eight miles from Junction 47 of the A1(M) motorway. Rippon is about 9 miles York about 20 miles and Leeds 16 miles. Trains from Harrogate to Leeds take a little over half an hour.
