Tetley Court, Hollins Hall

Harrogate, Yorkshire
Tetley Court at Hollins Hall is about two miles west of Harrogate just off the B6161 Ripley Road. The Hall itself, a substantial building formerly belonging to the Tetley family, stands at the centre of the development in splendid grounds and there are magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. There are a number of different styles of properties surrounding the Hall from cottages and apartments to bungalows and detached houses arranged in four individual courts. The Club House is situated in the original hall.

Harrogate is famous for its crocuses which in the Spring can be seen on the Stray - a 200 acre common from which a path links the Valley Gardens with Harlow Carr Gardens; now part of the Royal Horticultural Society following the merger with the Northern Horticultural Society in 2001. The gardens stand on what was once the part of the Forest of Knaresborough, an ancient royal hunting ground and springs of sulphur were discovered here in 1743.
